Wherever I go, whatever file I wish to download just flies across the world in seconds.
Up until now I have had no problems with any other company in the world. I have been a long time user of Xara products. Happy music making, recording, and audio cleaning! Magix is a German company and I wonder whether the geographical location of the user may affect the speed at which these downloads can proceed? With regard to your final sentence and thoughts, whether the Downloader file is the source of your problem, I fully understand your thinking but that is something you would need to pursue with Magix Support. However, I am very pleased to hear that the download has now completed and that all your Magix apps are successfully installed and running. I don't think I actually suggested that particular course of action, but rather was making the point that all posters here, with very few and rare exceptions, are fellow-users and not Magix staff! 😇 Hence, any advice to be offered is entirely based on our personal experiences. Direct link to files appears to be working perfectly well, the files redirected via the special loader do not work well for every customer. When I finally installed MusicMaker I clicked on the update link and the update files transferred at lightning speed of under one minute. In all honesty I have no idea what the issue could be.
My actual broadband speed averages around 46mbps. If my ISP or firewall or antivirus program were the cause of slow speed then I imagine all other websites would be slow for me as well. I do not have this issue with any other website, which means that I do have enough room on my 2 terabyte HDD. I have no idea what is causing the throttling but I did spend the last 4 days downloading SOUND FORGE Audio Cleaning Lab 2, SOUND FORGE Audio Studio 14, the iZotope plugins and MusicMaker. I also googled the issue of slow download speed for Magix products and discovered that I was not the only person affected by this problem. Thank you for suggesting I ought to have asked Magix support, I did but got no reply.
