Years later, Bowie was recording his 2002 album “Heathen” at Allaire Studios in Shokan, quite close to Woodstock, and he contacted Dorsey to tell her he was nearby. “And I said to him, ‘Because I am one of those old hippies.’ He teased me for years about living up here, and to my knowledge, he had never really spent any time up here.”
